Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

Jason's killing days seemingly come to an end after he's gunned down by the FBI. But then, wouldn't you know it, Jason's remains hypnotize the coroner, allowing Jason's demonic spirit to move from body to body. While a mysterious bounty hunter tries to warn everyone that Jason can only truly be killed by a blood relative. Did I mention the estranged marriage subplot? Or the sleazy tabloid news reporter? Or the creepy couple who run the local greasy spoon? Or the appearance of props from the Evil Dead series? No? Then, boy oh boy, you're in for a treat.

You forgot to mention that Jason's remains hypnotize the coroner into eating Jason's heart. Huh? The only good thing about this movie is the teaser at the end for Freddy Vs. Jason. Too bad that movie a) didn't come out for almost a decade after this and b) sucked.

I own a copy of this movie on DVD but I honestly haven't watched it since I rented it on VHS back in the late 90s. I'm pretty sure I've only ever watched this one and Jason X (which, spoiler alert: I'm probably gonna review) once each.

There's just something about the post-Paramount Friday the 13th films that makes them almost unwatchable. How hard could it possibly be to make a good Friday the 13th movie? Even the bad ones that Paramount made were miles ahead of the New Line ones.
